South African rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter (born Nthato Monde James Mokgata, 14 May 1985, Soweto) who blends township sounds with hip hop, house, and techno — credited with coining the "Township Tech" style. Solo albums include Mshini Wam (2010, BBE Records) and Father Creeper (2012, three-time MOBO Awards nominee, 2011-2013). Also founded the bands Fantasma, Batuk, and CasaCosmica, and directed the documentary Future Sound of Mzansi (2014).
